Design Engineer Automotive LED Lighting Location: Harlow, Essex (free on-site parking) Type: Permanent, Full-Time Techniche Global is supporting an industry-leading designer and manufacturer of automotive LED lighting solutions for the commercial, emergency, and military vehicle sectors. We are seeking a Design Engineer to join the Engineering department at their Harlow site. This is a key role supporting a growing project portfolio and will play a critical part in maintaining the company s position as a market leader in innovative lighting solutions. The Role Reporting directly to the Engineering Director, the Design Engineer will be responsible for progressing projects from initial concept through to production release. You will work closely with the in-house test laboratory, project management team, suppliers, and subcontractors to deliver robust, compliant, and commercially viable product designs. Key responsibilities include: Product design and development using SolidWorks and Creo Generating and working to approved design and test specifications Producing conceptual designs, prototypes, and associated costing data Releasing engineering change notes and updating technical drawings Managing electrical and mechanical testing regimes and supporting design validation Liaising with external suppliers for out-of-house engineering and tooling activities Producing tooling files, procurement specifications, and obtaining supplier quotations Developing and validating ..... full job details .....
