JOB DETAILSIntroduction The Disaster Recovery (DR) Manager role is a key role within the DR Enablement project that is sponsored by the IT Risks, Processes, and Controls team. The DR Enablement project will establish the standards, processes, roles and governance to ensure our organization has a robust approach to IT Disaster Recovery for its Business-Critical applications.Responsibilities and Objectives
Participating in the DR Enablement project as a core team memberContribute to and lead or support teams in the creation of at least the following project Key Deliverables (KDs)KD#02 DR Enablement Approach – Identification of dependencies, hierarchies, already available inputs and content for the new DR Standard, as well as new documentation requirementsKD#03 DR Architecture – DR Architecture requirements and designsKD#04 DR Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) - Application design and testing requirements for DR-readiness, On- / Off-boarding process changesKD#05 DR Service Delivery - Monitoring tool requirements, DR process, Incident / BCM / Crisis Management Process integration, Updates to existing ITIL Incident and Problem management processesKD#06 DR Tools - To be identified during scope of project, e.g. data repositories, communication channels, synchronisation with existing tools, etc.KD#07 DR Reporting - Definition and development of BAU DR Reporting for DR Governance, IT Infrastructure and Business IT stakeholders to enable them to monitor DR readiness and DR performance across the IT landscapeKD#08 DR Testing Pilot - High-level DR Test Planning (Detailed DR Test Planning and Execution is BAU activity), DR Testing Pilot (1-2 applications)KD#09 DR Governance - Definition of BAU DR Governance processes and enablers such as governance meeting plans, review templates, control mechanisms and reportingKD#10 DR Training - Training Plan and initial training delivery to enable all levels of IT and Business stakeholders to understand and live the new DR standards and procedures, appropriate to their organisational responsibilitiesKD#11 DR Closure Checklist - Final deliverables to enable transition into BAUYour Profile / Background
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT process engineering, or a similar role, with a strong background in IT operations, security and Disaster Recovery readiness planning and test executionDemonstrated experience in process documentation, analysis, and improvement within an IT contextStrong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset for measuring process performance and identifying improvement opportunitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with process owners and stakeholders across various levels of the organizationProven ability to manage projects, including change management initiatives, with a track record of successful implementationStrong understanding of IT governance frameworks and IT security control principles (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001, ITIL), with proven ability to translate control objectives and compliance requirements into effective operational processesUnderstanding of system integration concepts, API usage, and common IT infrastructure / application landscapes to effectively identify automation and optimization opportunities across systemsAdvanced degrees or certifications in process management (e.g., Six Sigma, BPM) are highly desirable
