The role involves coordinating daily transport activities, ensuring that collections and deliveries are planned efficiently and completed within required deadlines.Working in a fast-paced environment, the successful candidate will play a key role in organising vehicle schedules, maintaining communication with drivers and internal teams, and ensuring a high level of service is provided to customers.Transport Planner Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the daily planning of a fleet up to 15 vehicles, ensuring all scheduled collections and deliveries are carried out within customer timeframes.Maintain regular communication with drivers throughout the day to monitor progress and ensure jobs are completed as planned.Work closely with import and export departments as well as other internal teams to organise airline and customer collections.Keep customers updated on the status of their shipments and address any queries regarding delivery progress.Manage vehicle availability by scheduling servicing, maintenance, and repairs to ensure minimal disruption to operations.Review transport planning methods to ensure the fleet is utilised in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible.Arrange third-party transport providers when workloads exceed the capacity of ..... full job details .....
