Shift Maintenance Technician

Position: Shift Maintenance Technician Location: FlintshireContract: Full-Time, Permanent 2 x days 2 x nights (4 on 4 off) Role OverviewJoin the Site Engineering Team to maintain and enhance plant performance. Carry out planned and reactive electrical/mechanical maintenance, installations, and repairs across key site areas, ensuring equipment availability and product quality, all while adhering to HSandE standards. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform electrical and mechanical planned maintenance and repairs (hydraulics, pneumatics, automation) to maximise machine reliability.Install, modify, and commission equipment and machinery across the site.Develop maintenance schedules and manage critical spares with the Plant Engineer.Drive continuous improvement through RCI involvement and root-cause resolution.Supervise contractor activities and support Apprentice/Grid engineers in training.Maintain clear communication during shift handover and with cross-functional teams.Update engineering documentation, including drawing interpretation and record-keeping consistency. Skills and ExperienceEssentialStrong troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems.Proficient in reading electrical/mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic schematics.Experienced with CMMS systemsHNC in Engineering or equivalent vocational qualification.Proactive and committed to HSandE and 5S housekeeping standards.
