Operations Manager
Location: Didcot

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and enhance the operational functions of a growing UK business. Reporting to senior leadership, you will drive operational efficiency, implement scalable processes, manage administrative teams, and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, document, and improve operational processes to support growth and scalability.
  
  
• Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements and automation solutions.
  
  
• Support budgeting, financial reporting, and operational planning.
  
  
• Coordinate activities between UK-based teams and international stakeholders.
  
  
• Manage contracts and ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
  
  
• Oversee procurement, inventory management, shipping, and receiving activities.
  
  
• Manage facilities and coordinate maintenance and repairs.
  
  
• Lead UK-based administrative staff and oversee day-to-day administrative functions.
  
  
• Support employee onboarding, orientation, and HR-related activities.
  
  

Requirements

• 8+ years'' experience in operations, management, or project management roles.
  
  
• Proven experience building and improving operational systems and processes.
  
  
• Strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
  
  
• Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance.
  
  
• Knowledge of contract management and regulatory requirements; export control experience is advantageous.
  
  
• Experience with government-funded projects or contracts (e.g. Innovate UK) is desirable.
  
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business management systems.
  
  
• Bachelor''s degree or equivalent experience.
