Our client based in Andover has an immediate requirement for a skilled and versatile Field Service Engineer with strong electrical, mechanical and programming capabilities.This is a dynamic, field-based role combining installation, maintenance, fault-finding, and customer support, alongside involvement in machine build and development. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on engineering expertise with added value in electrical control systems and C++ programming for machine functionality and optimisation.Key Responsibilities:Travel across the UK (and occasionally Europe) to install, service, and repair machineryRespond to urgent breakdowns within 24-48 hoursDiagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults efficientlyCarry out planned maintenance and servicing activitiesLook after your own diary management for PPM activitiesInstall new equipment and commission machines on customer sitesDeliver face-to-face training to customers on safe operation and basic maintenanceSupport the manufacturing team with electrical wiring, control panel assembly, machine build and testingAssist with development and troubleshooting of control systems, including C++ based programming where requiredMaintain accurate service records and reportsApplicants must have a minimum of 2 years'' experience as an Electrical/Mechanical Engineer or Field Service Engineer, strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills, experience with control systems and basic C++ programming (or willingness to ..... full job details .....
