Formed in 2003, City Gate Construction (CGC) specialise in construction, refurbishment, fabrication, mechanical and electrical services, new build housing, bespoke joinery, maintenance and regeneration. With its Head Office in Linwood, CGC employs more than 200 people, with six UK offices, most recently opening premises in Birmingham. Providing a bespoke service across a range of industries, CGC continue to secure major contracts from housing associations, exclusive private developers and local authorities. Since its formation, CGC has recruited around 180 Renfrewshire residents and despite the pandemic, CGC have experienced continued grown, boosting an annual turnover this year in excess of 40m. We also continue to recruit apprentices, with 22 currently enrolled across a range of trades including painting and decorating, carpentry and joinery, plumbing and plastering. We are seeking an experienced Joiner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of joinery works on sites across Renfrewshire and surrounding areas. We are looking for people to work as part of our Voids team and our planned and reactive maintenance team. Responsibilities: Reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans. Measuring, cutting, and shaping timber for various joinery works, including door and window frames, stairs, skirting boards, and architraves.
