You will be working as part of a small team providing Data Centre services to a prestigious International Financial organisation.Responsibilities of our Data Centre Engineer will include:Working a 24x7x365 shift pattern of 4 days on 4 days off, 4 nights on 4 nights offChange control managementIncident management and resolutionManagement and tracking of AssetsSupervision and escorting of 3rd Party VendorsPlanning and implementation of all IT hardware installations adhering to strict Data Centre Standards.Planning and decommission of network hardware and structured cablingUpdating all relevant documentation and inventoriesCompleting all service requests, within the agreed SLACompliance with ONNEC’s and Client Health and Safety proceduresCompliance with Manufacturers, ONNEC’s and Clients Quality StandardsCompliance to Clients and Support Services approved processesEnsure security procedures with reference to Data Centres are complied with.Task Description:Maintenance of Data Centre toolsets that assist with support and managementManagement and governance over the DCWork closely with our facilities providers to maximise energy efficiency savingsSuccessful day to day running of the Data Centre, including installations, decommissions, changes and maintenanceBasic configuration of server (IDRAC, ILO)Fault finding and escalationRacking, stacking, moves, changes, decommissioning , patchingData Centre related major infrastructure projects including power outages and replacementsManaging complex inter-rack/room cable infrastructure, providing a stable platform for IT infrastructure and desktop connectivityWhat we’re looking for in our Data Centre Engineer:Experience of working in high-risk environments and Data CentresKnowledge of DCIM tools and standards (desirable)Experience of ServiceNow, Remedy or other ticketing system (desirable)Attention to detail and proactiveSound Knowledge of Infrastructure Technologies and Networking ConceptsCompetent in MS Office and Helpdesk/Service Delivery ApplicationsA reliable individual and team playerThe ability to work under pressureAble to work on own initiative and unsupervisedA flexible approach to shift patternsThe ability to communicate clearly both written and verbally, at all levelsStrong organisational, interpersonal, and administrative skillsApplicants must have previous experience in a similar roleIf you feel you have the required skills and experience, click apply now to be considered as our
