School Chef Manager

to take the reins of a busy secondary school kitchen based in

Wood Green (N22) , serving up to

1,200 students daily .This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who thrives in leadership, is passionate about food and nutrition, and enjoys making a difference in the school community. You will be responsible for managing all kitchen operations, leading a

large team of General Assistants , and delivering daily breakfast and lunch services to a high standard.Key Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver healthy, nutritious meals in line with national school food standards

Lead and manage a large team of General Assistants, ensuring smooth kitchen operations

Oversee daily food production for breakfast and lunch service for approximately 1,200 students

Maintain excellent standards in food hygiene, health and safety, and allergen control

Manage food ordering, stock control, waste minimisation, and kitchen budgeting

Work closely with school leadership on menu planning, dietary needs, and themed events

Foster a supportive and inclusive dining experience for students and staff

About You

Were looking for a Chef Manager who:Has significant experience in large-scale catering, ideally within an education setting

Possesses strong people management skills and thrives in leading large teams

Is passionate about delivering healthy, child-friendly meals

Can manage stock, budgets, and compliance with ease

Has relevant food safety qualifications (e.g., Food Safety Level 3, HACCP)

Communicates effectively and works well under pressure
