Toolmaker Plastic Injection Moulding Location: Tamworth Salary: £44,000 Shifts: Double Days (Mon Fri) A well-established manufacturing company based in Tamworth is seeking a skilled and experienced Toolmaker with a strong background in plastic injection moulding to join its growing team. Key Responsibilities: Manufacture, maintain, and repair injection mould tools to a high standard. Use precision machinery. Diagnose tooling issues and provide effective solutions. Work closely with the production and engineering teams to ensure smooth operation of moulding processes. Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping. Attend breakdowns, identify fault and problem solve at the press with minimal downtime to aid production. Evaluate each job and determine if it can be repaired in press or must be removed to Tool Room for essential maintenance and repair work. Estimate length of time required to complete a job and likely consequences of failure to complete work within required timescales. Identify and escalate any activity that has the potential to cause harm or damage. Requirements: Proven experience as a toolmaker within a plastic injection moulding environment. Strong understanding of toolroom machinery and equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills.
