Pharmacy Technician

Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at Heathrow IRC, a Immigration Removal Centre located in West Drayton. Heathrow IRC combines Colnbrook and Harmondsworth removals centres under one management structure, making it the largest immigration removal centre in Europe, with a capacity of 965 residents.We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician who can dispense and is ACT qualified. You will be working onsite with 8 other Pharmacy Technicians and will be based within the healthcare department.What you’ll be doing
Provide outstanding quality based patient-centred care to patients, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.Focus on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and that standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.Deliver non-judgemental care within the scope of professional standards, including the timely administration of medicines and analysing cost effective prescribing as defined through our Health in Justice medicines policy.Act as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to make a real difference in patient care.Career development

NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalentRegistration with the General Pharmaceutical CouncilACT QualifiedUp to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experienceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAble to work unsupervised whilst following policy and proceduresEssential and desirable experience

This is a permanent full-time role37.5 hoursMonday – Friday8.30am – 4.30pmSalary: between £34,125 - £41,475 per annum depending on experience
