Supply Desk is currently seeking a dedicated and inspiring Key Stage 2 (KS2) Teacher to join a welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Hemel Hempstead. This full-time role begins in September and presents an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on pupilsandrsquo; academic and personal development at a crucial stage in their education.
The school is recognised for its inclusive ethos, strong community spirit, and commitment to nurturing every childandrsquo;s potential. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, creative, and fully invested in delivering engaging lessons that motivate and challenge pupils across the KS2 curriculum.
Job Description:
- Deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons across the KS2 curriculum, ensuring progress for all pupils.
- Plan and assess in line with national standards and school policies.
- Foster a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages pupil participation and independent thinking.
- Establish effective classroom management techniques to promote high standards of behaviour and mutual respect.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, phase leaders, and SENCO to ensure consistency and support across the year group.
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on pupil progress and development.
- Contribute to school life by supporting extracurricular activities, staff meetings, and collaborative planning sessions.
- Participate in ongoing CPD and stay up to date with developments in primary education.
Our Ideal Candidate Will:
- Be a fully qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent), with experience teaching in Key Stage 2.
- Have a passion for delivering high-quality education and a strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
- Be committed to inclusive teaching practices and supporting pupils of all abilities and backgrounds.
- Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to inspire positive learning attitudes.
- Possess strong organisational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Be reflective, resilient, and open to continuous professional development.
- Hold or be willing to obtain a clear DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
- Be available for a full-time role starting in September.
