HR Advisor

We are currently looking for a new HR Advisor (internally known as People Advisor) to join our People team. In this role, you will support the People Partners by providing HR advice across Cambridge Education Group, with a focus on their key area of the business. This will involve working closely with managers and team members to provide professional, high quality customer focused advice, guidance and support in relation to HR policies and procedures, employee relations issues and organisational change.

Responsibilities include:
- Provide first class HR advice, guidance & support to line managers and employees in relation to HR policies and procedures, employee relation issues and organisational change.
- Support line managers regarding employment practises and interpretation of policy by coaching, advising and guiding.
- Manage global employee relation issues in a professional and efficient manner, i.e. family leaves flexible working requests, performance management, absence management, disciplinary, grievance matters etc with the support of the People Partners Support line managers with organisational design requirements and implementation of restructures. Assist with the recruitment process.
- Advise managers on requests for remuneration changes for their team members in line with our pay structures and processes, including assisting with pay review & bonus processes for the designated area.
- Support to ensure compliance with relevant UK and international employment laws and regulations, staying up to date and current with changes, proactively escalating any risks or issues and supports with solutions to mitigate them.
- Support the development and delivery of learning and development sessions regarding people management practices.
- Ensure absences are recorded informs and supports line managers with absence concerns, ensures return to work interviews are conducted by line managers and completes occupational health referrals where necessary.
- Understand the pressures and business requirements from the customer’s perspective and actively seek ways to fit with commercial requirements.
Essential criteria:
- GCSE or equivelent English & Maths – Grade C or above Experience providing professional, pragmatic HR advice and support on employee relations issues.
- Experience advising managers and team members on HR matters.
- Experience working in a fast paced, evolving company.
- CIPD accreditation (Desirable)
