Learning Support Assistant (No Experience Required)

Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: Full-Time, Term Time Only

Are you passionate about helping young people achieve their potential? Do you have a caring, patient, and positive attitude? We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly and supportive SEND school in Bury St Edmunds.

No previous experience is required – full training and ongoing support will be provided. This role is ideal for anyone looking to start a rewarding career in education, care, youth work, or special educational needs.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other staff to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will help create a positive learning environment where every child can thrive.

• Support pupils in the classroom and during activities.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Assist students with their social, emotional, and communication needs.
• Work as part of a supportive team to help pupils achieve their individual goals.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.

• A caring, patient, and positive approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Reliability and commitment to supporting young people.
• Experience working with children is beneficial but not essential.
