We''re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant to take ownership of financial operations for our retail division. This is a hands-on role covering everything from month-end reporting to stakeholder analysis and audit prep.

Description

Management Accountant (Immediate Start)

• Prepare monthly management accounts (accruals, prepayments, journals).
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and calculate depreciation.
• Produce monthly financial reports and variance analysis.
• Manage ledgers and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Post daily cash receipts and reconcile with eCommerce platforms.
• Perform weekly bank reconciliations.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support VAT returns and HMRC compliance.
• Assist with year-end audit preparation.
• Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

Profile

Management Accountant (Immediate Start)

• Experience in a similar role, ideally within an SME or standalone environment.
• Strong grasp of management accounting principles.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Confident communicator across all levels of the business.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
