We have an exciting new and URGENT role come in for a Cook (Community Cook) to work for South Gloucestershire Council based at Yate. IMMEDIATE START (This weekend)This is a temporary role working weekends. You will be working 10 hours over Saturday and Sunday 7am to 12pm this will be ongoing MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESServiceTo cook and serve all food and beverages as required.To promote good customer/staff relations.HygieneTo ensure the cleanliness of kitchen equipment, fixtures, utensils and areas (including walls).To ensure the highest possible standards of personal hygiene and appearance.To ensure the correct and hygienic handling of foodstuffs.Food Preparation DutiesTo prepare and cook all food as required.SafetyTo ensure all equipment and utensils used in respect of normal duties are handled/operated in a safe manner and are in a safe condition.ESSENTIAL CRITERIAKnowledge of personal hygiene, food hygiene and Health and Safety procedures. Prepared/cooked food and carried out general catering duties including service delivery.Has achieved a good attendance record.Prepared to work in a hot, humid environment, with noise and cooking odoursClean and tidy (including dress, hair, teeth, nails, etc.).
