Priory Lifeworks is looking to recruit an Eating Disorder - Consultant Psychiatrist to join their team as a Private Practice "Visiting Consultant". This is a sessional, self-employed opportunity for a Consultant to develop their own Private Practice with Priory; successful candidates operate with a high level of autonomy, and we are happy to discuss your availability to practice with you. Life Works is a trusted private rehab centre in Woking, Surrey, specialising in addiction recovery and eating disorder treatment. Our expert team — including psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, mental health nurses and dietitians — work together to provide personalised, evidence-based care, ensuring every client gets the right support from the right specialist, following the highest standards of treatment.What you’ll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients’ wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients. We currently have a focus on inpatient service but there are also outpatients supported within this service. Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.The appointed consultant must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience at Consultant level, hold and maintain registration with the General Medical Council (GMC), including inclusion on the relevant Specialist Register. Evidence of this registration must be available and presented to the Hospital Director or Group Medical Officer upon request.What we will give you in return
