The Opportunity:
An established and growing specialist fabrication business is seeking an experienced and qualified Fabrication Team Leader to drive production excellence in a busy workshop environment. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with a strong welding/fabrication background, ready to lead a skilled team while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.


Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of fabricators and welders to deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines.
- Oversee day-to-day production activity within the workshop.
- Plan and coordinate workloads to meet customer requirements.
- Maintain rigorous standards of welding quality.
- Ensure welders hold and maintain the correct tickets and qualifications needed for a variety of projects.
- Support team members in achieving or renewing their welding qualifications.
- Liaise with production and management teams to maintain efficient workflow.
- Assist with reporting and production planning as needed.


About You:
- Strong background in fabrication and welding - time-served/ qualified to NVQ 3 level ideally.
- Demonstrated experience leading a team in a fabrication or welding environment.
- Thorough understanding of welding qualifications, codes and accreditations.
- Confident communicator able to coordinate effectively within the workshop team.
- Organised, proactive and ready to take on greater responsibility over time.
