Major Recruitment are currently seeking a number of Pipefitter/Welders for our client based in the Elland area of West Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well established and fast-growing engineering company who are looking to strengthen their engineering team.Purpose of the RoleThe purpose of the role is to manufacture, weld, assemble and install piping structures used in conveying and handling the likes of food stuffs, powders, hot liquids and steam.The Pipefitter welder will take direction and instruction from the assigned Project/Contracts engineer and assume responsibility for facilitating the day to day requirements of specific projects whilst on clients sites and in the workshop ensuring that you are working safely and efficiently whilst satisfying the needs of the business and the customer.In addition to these departmental responsibilities this job description is neither exhaustive nor exclusive and may be reviewed in the future depending upon operational requirements and staffing levels.Key ResponsibilitiesTake instruction and guidance from the Contracts/Project engineer/ Workshop Manager and take the day to day responsibility and organisation of themselves whilst on specific projects on client''s sites and in the workshop.Ensure appropriate targets and time scales are achieved in line with project engineering and customer requirementsWorking in collaboration with the Contracts/Project engineer/ Workshop Manager and other team members to facilitate ..... full job details .....
