Care Assistant

Overview
In your role as a Care Assistant at HC-One, you value kindness above all. It touches every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Care Assistant to join the team at our care home, providing long or short-term, convalescence, respite or palliative care. You will work under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, taking responsibility for the physical and emotional well-being and social needs of residents, while helping maintain their dignity and individuality.You will assist residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and assisting with meals, and support general activities within the care home. You may help someone with limited mobility to use an aid, offer emotional support to a distressed resident, or deliver care at the end of life, always keeping the resident’s well-being in mind.Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. Recognise signs that may indicate abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if there are concerns. All colleagues must attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and undertake additional training in related areas. You should be able to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.About HC-One and Values
