Facilities Maintenance Operative

Delta Personnel is looking for a reliable and practical Facilities Maintenance Operative to help maintain our clients manufacturing site in Edenbridge.

The role involves carrying out general day to day maintenance and repairs across the site, ensuring the building, equipment and surrounding areas are kept safe, tidy and in good working order.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out basic building maintenance and repairs.
• Perform general handyman duties, including painting, minor plumbing, carpentry and repairs.
• Assist with preventative maintenance around the site.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of internal and external areas.
• Set up and move equipment, furniture and machinery as required.
• Report any maintenance issues or health and safety concerns.
• Liaise with external contractors when required.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous handyman, maintenance or facilities experience is preferred.
• Practical with good DIY skills and able to use a range of hand and power tools.
• Proactive, reliable and able to work independently.
• A good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment.
• Flexible, with a positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team.

Working Hours

• 5 days per week.
• Mildly flexible working hours.
•  7:30am to 3:30pm, depending on business requirements and agreement.

This is a varied, hands on role supporting the smooth day to day operation of a busy packaging manufacturing facility.
