You ll operate in a high-performance environment using state-of-the-art CNC machines, contributing to a long-term programme of national importance.Key Responsibilities:Set up and operate CNC turning machines, retrieving programs from the network to machine parts accurately to engineering drawings.Conduct start-of-shift machine inspections and report any faults via maintenance systems.Measure and inspect parts using micrometres, verniers, and other precision tools to ensure all specifications are met.Select the correct tools, equipment, and materials for each job.Maintain accurate records using SAP production systems.Support junior machinists or new starters as required.Comply with all health, safety, and environmental standards.Maintain a clean and safe working environment (5S).What We re Looking For:Essential:GCSEs (Grade C or above) in English and Maths (or equivalent).Hands-on experience operating CNC machining centres in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of engineering drawings and technical tolerances.Desirable:NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Engineering/Machining, HNC/HND, or a time-served apprenticeship.Familiarity with SAP systems and digital production reporting.Personal Attributes:Proactive and dependable team player.Self-starter who thrives under ..... full job details .....
