Mental Health Senior Support Worker, Young People – Bromborough, Wirral. Salary £26,364 - £28,294.50 (depending on experience). Full Time 37.5 hours per week.Responsibilities
Work alongside and support the Deputy and Registered Manager in supervising a team of staff and lead shifts.Take an active part in the young person’s key team, create and update care plans, and collaborate with the home’s multidisciplinary team to ensure actions are completed.Support new team members and participate in recruitment of new staff at interviews and local job fairs.Support daily living tasks for young people, including meal preparation, food shopping, prompting for self-care, medication administration, medical appointments, and general upkeep of the home.Support activities outside the home (e.g., clothes shopping, swimming, meals out, youth clubs, pamper sessions, cinema trips).Responsibilities – Incident and Compliance
Handle incident management, de-escalation of challenging behaviours, and completion of online records, audits, and report writing.Engage in medication management as required and maintain professional working boundaries.Qualifications and Requirements
Essential: Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and bank holidays; ability to attend training on weekdays; good written skills for basic reports and accurate record-keeping; basic IT skills (forms, online care system, emails); good verbal communication and listening skills; ability to remain calm in emergencies; maintain professional boundaries.Desirable: Full UK Driving Licence; NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent in Care; previous experience with young people who have mental health needs.About the Home and Role Context

The aim is to support them using a therapeutic approach to achieve individual goals and prepare for transition to adult life.
