Production Operative
We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative specialising in electronics assembly to join our growing production team at UltraLEDs. Full-time Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm - £26,000.
This is a skilled, hands-on role where precision soldering and electrical assembly experience are essential. You will be responsible for building high-quality LED lighting products, working with wiring, components and bespoke assemblies to exacting standards.
This role is ideally suited to someone with a background in electronics or electrical manufacturing, who takes pride in their workmanship and enjoys working in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.
The Role
You will be assembling a wide range of LED lighting products, including LED tape, wiring assemblies and bespoke light bars, with a strong focus on precision soldering, accuracy and product quality.
You’ll work from technical drawings and job sheets, ensuring all products meet our high standards before leaving production.
Key Responsibilities
- Precision hand soldering of LED strip, wiring and electrical components
- Assembly of LED lighting products to specification
- Working accurately from technical drawings, job sheets and instructions
- Carrying out quality checks and visual inspections on completed products
- Ensuring all assemblies meet internal quality and workmanship standards
- Using tools and equipment including;Soldering irons;Hand tools Saws and shaping equipment
- Identifying and reporting any quality or production issues
- Supporting product testing and verification where required
- Meeting daily production targets while maintaining high levels of accuracy an maintaining a clean, safe and organised workspace
- Supporting the wider team during busy production periods
About You
Essential
- Proven hands-on soldering experience within an electrical or electronics environment
- Experience in electronics assembly, electrical manufacturing or similar
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings and instructions
- Reliable, organised and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Comfortable working to production targets without compromising quality
- Basic PC literacy
Desirable
- Experience working with LED lighting products
- Familiarity with multimeters or electrical testing equipment
- Experience assembling wiring harnesses or PCB-based products
- Previous involvement in quality inspection or product testing
