Redditch Borough Council is looking for a Building Surveyor to join their Housing team. This is a hands-on role delivering essential surveying services to ensure properties are safe, well-maintained, and tenant-focused.

What you''ll do:

·Deliver core Building Surveying services including:

oProject Management
oBuilding Pathology
oDisrepair Surveys and Reports
oDefect Identification and Resolution
oSchedules of Work
oTenant Liaison

·Manage reactive maintenance, void inspections, and contract administration
·Supervise contractors, monitor performance, and ensure compliance
·Work closely with tenants and stakeholders to support high service standards

What you''ll bring:
·Experience in a building surveying role
·Strong knowledge of housing repairs, CDM, asbestos, and building regulations
·Great communication, organisational, and project management skills
·Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Role Details:
·Rate: £32.79/hour (Inside IR35)
·Contract: 3 months, possible extension
·Hours: 37/week
·Location: Redditch Town Hall, B98 8AH (minimum WFH expected)
·Start: ASAP
