Connect Appointments have a new opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join our client based in Falkirk.This is a full-time permanent role with a growing CA firm. Your duties and responsibilities will include:Developing and building strong and lasting relationships with clients, understanding their needs and becoming a trusted advisorManage a client portfolio, ensuring accurate and up-to-date recordsPlan and manage tax engagements, providing strategic adviceVAT compliance and computationsPreparation and review of monthly management accounts for a small portfolio of clientsWorking within set budgets and time scalesTo be successful in this accountant role you will ideally have experience in a similar hands-on Accountant role. Plus, the following key skills and traits:Qualified or part-qualified through ACCA, ICAS, CIPFA or an equivalent qualification gained within general practiceStrong core skills of accounting and VAT complianceStrong technical expertise in personal tax, partnership tax and Corporation TaxProficient with accounting, tax and audit systemsExcellent competency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and experience of accounting packages such as Xero and Sage Line would be useful, but not essentialExcellent communication skills and able to work to strict deadlinesThis is your time to join and develop your career with our client''s fast growing company.
