Transport Operations Manager at DHL Express UK. You will join the Southern Distribution Centre linehaul team to drive day-to-day transport operations, ensuring service, productivity, quality, security and cost targets are met, and standard procedures are followed. You will lead a team, providing ongoing development and motivation to maintain engagement and performance.Location: Slough, SL3 0BB | Varied Shift PatternResponsibilities

Build and maintain productive relationships with service centres, attending operational meetings when requiredReview daily and weekly reports for legal compliance, vehicle utilisation and service deliveryComplete infringements, investigations and action plansInvestigate pre-departure issues and resolve as appropriateReview accident and damage data to identify trends and hotspotsMeasure performance against KPI targets and build action plans to address issuesReview resource requirements, ensuring drivers, fleet and subcontractors are in place to deliver daily and weekly schedules and resolve shortfallsReview daily resource plan and address issues such as short notice absenceResolve driver feedback queries and review fleet board scores weekly; ensure training and coaching to improve performanceDeliver communication updates and daily briefings at agreed timesConduct 1-1 meetings and listening groups to address team concerns and promote career developmentEngage in daily discussions with employees to inspire performance and customer serviceAbout Us
