Residential Support Worker

We are looking for a Residential Support Worker to join a dedicated and caring team supporting children with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties who have experienced trauma and adversity in a residential care setting. As a Support Worker, you will help create a safe, structured and nurturing environment where children can begin to thrive. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct care and supervision to children with challenging behaviour and complex needs. Develop and maintain positive relationships with the children, fostering a sense of trust and security. Implement and follow individualised care plans, ensuring the needs of each child are met. Manage and respond to challenging behaviour using appropriate strategies and interventions. Support children in their educational, social, and recreational activities. Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements. Participate in regular training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge. Work collaboratively with colleagues, external agencies, and families to ensure a holistic approach to care. Requirements: Experience as a Support Worker or in a similar setting is preferred. Understanding of trauma-informed care and child development Strong communication skills and emotional resilience Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
