We offer engineering support in Automotive, Aerospace, Energy and IT.This role is responsible for leading the EDU Geometric Integration team that will ensure compatibility of the EDU to the system level requirements. The individual will lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers working in an Agile framework, to ensure geometric compatibility, entitlement to meet system performance and demonstrating quality through the use of evidence base engineering review.Position

: Permanent (£45k to £52k Annual Gross), Contract (£30 per Hour to £33 per Hour Outside IR35)Location

: Onsite West Midlands, UKKey ResponsibilitiesSupport the design, development workstreams within the scope of the engineering development projects.Conduct the design analysis and development with utmost quality within agile framework.Dynamic and static attribute targets to be integrated into the product design assessment. Support prototype design freeze activities for customer applications, support customer production / prototype sites and liaise with their engineering team.EDU geometric compatibility:Create and publish skeleton models to define EDU component architectureRegular publication of full assembly models in line with sprint cadenceManage EDU assembly design freeze in line with programme gatewaysSupport vehicle package reviewsComplete virtual build eventsSupport virtual builds for rig setupsResolve incompatibilities through arbitration between teams:Lead resolution of issues which cross multiple component groups through the integration design reviewSupport vehicle build issuesEDU system validation:Create test requests as required by the DFMEACompile evidence from test, and load test report to corporate repositoryComplete Evidence based engineering reviews for EDU assemblyLabels release:Design and release responsibility for EDU labelsKey Performance Indicators:Validation test case completionRegular 3D model publication in line with sprint cadence – CAD maturity vs gateway requirementsSkills Knowledge and Experience Required:Experience of 3D modelling tools and techniques, preferably in CATIA V6Good understanding of GDandTExperience and knowledge of Agile product delivery methodologyProven track record of delivering innovative design solutions.Experience in project management and issue resolution.Degree in Engineering or relevant equivalent experience preferred.Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive CAD engineering, ideally within Powertrain SystemsExperience of working in a Product Owner roleExperience of managing projects and backlogs in tools such as Confluence and JIRAPrevious experience of the automotive or manufacturing industryDetailed knowledge of EDU designWhat we offer (For Permanent)Competitive Salary in line with level of experience.UK Work Visa sponsorship for eligible candidates (For Current UK Residents only)Opportunity to be part of world class product development projects.Pension Scheme28 Days Holidays (Annual + Bank Holidays) and above additional benefits.This role may offer the opportunity for hybrid working where you can split your time between working from home and in the office.
