Supply Desk are working in partnership with a well-regarded Secondary School located in High Wycombe. The school is seeking a full-time Science Teacher to join their team from September, with the possibility of the role becoming permanent in the future.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4. The school is looking for a passionate and committed individual who can deliver engaging and effective lessons across the Science curriculum.

About the Role:

• Teach Science to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, with a preference for candidates who specialise in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
• Deliver engaging, hands-on lessons that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of science
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to explore ideas and ask questions
• Assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and monitor academic progress
• Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum and assist in creating engaging teaching resources
• Support students in preparing for GCSE examinations, including coursework guidance and revision support
• Promote student involvement in extracurricular science activities and STEM-related projects
• Take an active role in the wider school community, including events, meetings, and enrichment opportunities

The ideal candidate will:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification is preferred; however, strong candidates without formal qualification may also be considered
• Proven experience teaching Science at secondary school level
• In-depth subject knowledge with a genuine enthusiasm for Science education
• An innovative and engaging teaching approach that puts students at the centre of learning
• Effective classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment
• Possesses an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or is willing to obtain one
