Newly Qualified Salaried GP - 5 sessions per week.Tower Hill Partnership is part of Pioneers Integrated Partnership Primary Care Network. PCNs are a key part of the NHS long-term plan. They provide the structure and funding for services to be developed locally in response to the needs of the patients they serve.Following the release of ARRS GP information and funding we are looking for a newly qualified (within 2 years and not having had a substantive post), enthusiastic, forward-thinking GP to join Pioneers Integrated Partnership (PIP) PCN to be based at Tower Hill Partnership.Responsibilities

Face to face and telephone consultationsPatient home visits and nursing home visitsChecking and signing repeat prescriptionsAdministration – dealing with queries, patient test results, referral letters NHS/private, task, emails and other paperwork and correspondence in a timely mannerCover all the clinical management of the patients in surgery as appropriate including initiating investigations, reviewing results, making referrals to secondary care or to other providers as appropriateFace to face/telephone triage of patients presenting to the surgeryMaking professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problemsAssessing health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problemsScreening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illnessDeveloping care plans and promoting healthy lifestyle strategies with patients in line with current practice protocolsManage long-term conditions and patients with complex problemsRecording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standardsCollecting data for audit purposes and complying with QOF requirementsDelivering enhanced servicesCheck, manage and process patient test resultsRefer patients to secondary care and/or relevant organisations within the PCN as requiredCompiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions in line with local and national guidelinesPrescribing in accordance with the Practice formulary (or generically) when appropriateUndertake duties and responsibilities of a GP working within primary care in a PCN settingAwareness of and compliance with Practice policies/guidelines (prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety)Commitment to lifelong learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practiceContributing to evaluation, audit and clinical standard setting within the organisationContributing to summarising patient records and read-coding patient dataAttending training and events organised by the Practice or other agencies as appropriateKeeping up to date with current evidence-based approaches to patient care and service delivery, in line with NICE and national frameworksContributing to education and training of trainee staff and studentsAttending and contributing to practice and PCN meetingsQualifications

MBBS or equivalent medical degreeFull registration with GMCCertification of Completion of Training - JCPTGP/PMETBInclusion on Performers ListEvidence of a commitment to ongoing personal and professional developmentPersonal Skills, Qualities and Experience

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verballyExcellent organisational and record-keeping skillsTime management and ability to work calmly under pressureAbility to work on own initiative and as part of a teamIT skills including word processing and database workCommitment to quality, patient satisfaction and equal opportunitiesExperience of primary care through the GP Vocational Training SchemeDesirable
