About the School
Remedy Education is working with a brand-new SEN school in Brent that caters for pupils aged 7-16. The school has small classes and provides a supportive environment for pupils who are all verbal, mostly independent, and diagnosed with autism. Some pupils present with behavioural challenges, so staff use consistency, patience and clear routines to help students succeed.

The Role
We are looking for a Full-time Year 5-6 SEN Teacher to provide cover within this setting. The role involves leading small groups, delivering pre-prepared lessons, and ensuring pupils remain engaged and supported in their learning. You''ll be working closely with teaching assistants and the wider team to create a calm, structured classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach and support Year 5-6 pupils with autism in the absence of their class teacher.

• Deliver lessons that are already planned and prepared.

• Adapt activities to meet individual needs where required.

• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school''s approaches.

• Work with support staff to encourage independence and positive engagement.

• Report any concerns or issues to senior staff.

What We''re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant teaching experience in primary or SEN.

• Understanding of autism and experience supporting pupils with additional needs.

• Strong classroom management skills, with a calm and confident approach.

• Flexibility, resilience and the ability to adapt to a new and developing school.
