The SEN Home Tutor plays a vital role in re-engaging students with learning, supporting their emotional wellbeing, and helping them achieve academic and personal success in a 1:1 home-based environment.Apply today if this role is for you! Key Responsibilities: Teaching and Learning Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons tailored to individual SEN needs, often across multiple subjects. Use creative and flexible approaches to overcome barriers to learning. Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress regularly. Support Build trusting, positive relationships with pupils, many of whom may have autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, or barriers to school-based learning. Support pupils emotional, social, and behavioural development. Work closely with parents/carers to foster a supportive home school partnership. Behaviour Management Implement consistent behaviour strategies rooted in empathy and restorative practice. Promote a safe, calm, and nurturing learning environment. Collaboration Liaise with parents, carers, schools, and external professionals. Contribute to EHCP reviews, personalised plans, and reintegration or transitional support. Safeguarding Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures at all times. Remain alert to signs of vulnerability and act promptly to protect pupils. Person Specification: Essential Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant SEN tutoring experience Experience working with children with SEN or SEMH needs Strong behaviour management skills ..... full job details .....
