My client, a market leading Sustainability Consultancy who specialise in sustainable and Eco-friendly builds, is searching for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Hull. You will be required to work from the office on a hybrid basis. As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will join an experienced team to complete HVAC designs for Passivhaus Estates, modular buildings, solar farms, commercial, residential and industrial developments across the UK. As Mechanical Design Engineer you will be expected to complete detailed mechanical designs including heating, ventilation, domestic hot and cold water systems, air source heat pumps and air-conditioning using AutoCAD and Revit. You will also be expected to complete 2D and 3D models, perform heat load calculations, thermal comfort modelling (TM52/TM59), IES energy modelling and digital twin simulation, duct sizing, pipe sizing, and equipment selection using relevant software (e.g. Revit, AutoCAD, HAP, or Elite).You will also prepare and review mechanical drawings, schematics, simulations and technical specifications in accordance with building codes, sustainability goals, and project requirements.The role will also involve;-Heating and cooling load assessments-Designing to BIM level 2 in accordance with British Standards PAS 1192-5.-Low-carbon system design (ASHPs, GSHPs, WSHPs, VRF/VRV)-Mechanical ventilation and heat recovery (MVHR)-Building Management System (BMS) integration- Attend internal external meetings with ..... full job details .....
