Finance Assistant Location: Scotland Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week Duration: 6 monthsAbout the Role Harvey Nash''s public sector client is seeking a Finance Assistant to join a busy Governance andamp; Operational Finance team. This role supports core financial processes across accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, and expenses. You''ll work to ensure efficient processing of invoices, payments, and financial transactions.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess customer and supplier invoicesMatch invoices to purchase ordersSupport invoice and payment queriesProcess staff expensesReconcile supplier statementsSet up new customers and suppliersProvide guidance to budget holdersSupport internal and external audit activityEssential Skills andamp; ExperienceStrong administrative experience in a business operations environment (ideally finance)Experience processing supplier and/or customer invoicesExcellent time management and ability to prioritise workloadAbility to work independently and as part of a teamHigh accuracy, attention to detail and strong customer service skillsGood understanding of accounting principles and GDPR/data protectionProficient in Microsoft 365 (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)Fast, accurate keyboard skillsFlexible and solutions-focused approachWillingness to travel when requiredDesirableHNC or SCQF Level 7 in a relevant disciplineExperience in at least two areas: Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Payroll, Treasury/ExpensesExperience using ..... full job details .....
