required for employment in a global manufacturing company in Kenfig Industrial Estate near Port Talbot.Salary: £45,000 per annumOwn transport is required as the site is not near any major transport links.Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pmMust have the right to work in the UK.SummaryThe role involves leading the Quality and Continuous Improvement functions, ensuring site compliance with quality systems and standards (including ISO9001, BRC, HACCP). Responsibilities include conducting audits, guiding the quality department, managing external accreditation audits, and collaborating with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and customers to identify root causes of defects and implement corrective actions.Essential FunctionsDefine, agree, and execute the Annual Quality Plan aligned with KPIs and group strategy.Promote a positive quality culture through shop-floor engagement.Develop and monitor action logs for corrective and preventative actions.Review customer complaint data, propose, and implement solutions.Analyze process and product performance, including new product introductions.Implement improvement proposals and provide training.Conduct internal quality and hygiene audits.Apply 8D problem-solving tools and techniques.Manage corrective actions and non-conformances.Respond to customer complaints, including site visits if necessary.Travel to other Amcor or customer sites as needed, possibly internationally.Ensure safety, hygiene, operational, and quality standards are maintained.Qualifications/SkillsUnderstanding of quality management systems, HACCP, BRC.Knowledge of SPC controls and techniques.Experience in manufacturing environments.Scientific qualification at A-Level or above.Self-motivated, reliable, thorough, logical, flexible.Effective communication skills, with experience in people management and customer interaction.Proficiency in Minitab, Excel, and detailed analysis.Desirable qualifications include Six Sigma or lean certifications and strong analytical skills.
