Waking Night Recovery Practitioner

Our services aim to enhance lives by offering good quality homes and structured support to enable independence and a more fulfilled existence.Role details

The Waking Night Recovery Practitioner will work at the Step-down recovery service in Liverpool, as part of Liverpool’s Recovery Pathway (RISE) in collaboration with YMCA Together. The service runs a 4-nights on, 4-nights off shift pattern and provides 18 weeks of recovery support following 18 weeks of treatment at the adjacent site. The sites offer high-spec, safe accommodation to support clients through their recovery journey toward greater independence and permanent housing solutions.Key responsibilities

Provide practical and emotional support to clientsPrompt clients regarding prescribed medication plans as neededComplete health and safety checks of the building/siteOversee the safety of clients who reside in the serviceOversee the safety of co-workers on-site when leading the shiftOversee the security of the buildingAdhere to Health and Safety regulationsUndertake administrative tasks as requiredEmpower and promote independent living skills with the client groupSupport the facilitation of the activities program when requiredManage incidentsWhat we’re looking for

Previous experience in a similar post of supporting individuals who are abstinent and free from substances (Desirable)A person who genuinely cares and wants to make a difference by supporting people to turn their lives around (Essential)A good understanding of health and safety and building management (Desirable)Experience of homelessness and housing challenges (Desirable)NVQ Level 3 in Housing/Health and Social Care, or be working towards this qualification (Desirable)Ability to accurately record information e.g., case notes, support plans and risk assessments (Essential)Experience of Mainstay, or similar Capita systems (Desirable)What we offer
