Mowgli, recently recognised as a Sunday Times ‘Best places to Work’ for a third consecutive year and awarded one of the ''Best Companies'' to work for in the UK for four years in a row, is looking for a Head of Commercial Finance to join the Mowgli Chambers team.You will oversee all elements of commercial analysis, insight, and reporting across the business to support decision-making, driving profitability and optimising financial performance. You will also business partner with Operations Director and other key, senior stakeholders to improve financial processes and strategies.This role is based in our Head Office based in Liverpool.Responsibilities

Ownership of analytical tools and systems across the business, ensuring they are fit for purpose and address the needs of the businessResponsible for detailed sales analytics including spend, sales mix, day partChallenge business on commercial performance and identification of improvementOwnership of forecasting models in the business (PandL and BS)Owning the internal reporting suite including daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reportingIdentification of relevant KPIs across the business and responsible for ensuring they are reflected in management informationLiaison with operations team to ensure understating of financial data and other relevant KPIsWhat we’re looking for

Qualified accountant- ACA/CIMA (CIMA preferred at at least 2 years post qualified experience)Excellent project management skillsExperience in a commercially focused finance role, experience in Hospitality or Retail industry beneficialA people person, skilled in relationship buildingData-literate and analytical abilityDetailed and solution-orientatedAgile and adaptiveCommercially minded and able to demonstrate strong commercial awareness and understanding of business driversProactive and able to identify and highlight areas of opportunity or improvement and advise on actions requiredWhat we will offer
