A welcoming Lambeth primary school with a specialist SEMH provision is seeking a committed SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils in KS1 within a mainstream setting, helping them reach their academic and social potential.

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs.

• Implement strategies and support plans designed by the SENCo.

• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing in the classroom.

• Adapt lessons and activities to meet individual learning needs.

• Monitor, record, and report on pupil progress.

• Collaborate with class teachers, SEN staff, and leadership.

• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH or similar needs in primary school.

• Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and interventions.

• DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.

• Daily rate of -90 - -105 depending on experience.
