Field Service Engineer / Plant Mechanic – Mobile Role (Midlands)

- Location: Birmingham and Surrounding Areas
- Employment Type: Full-Time | Mobile Role
- Basic Salary up to £41,500
- Overtime 1.5x 
- 40-hours a  week 

Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer with a background in plant or heavy machinery maintenance£ We’re seeking skilled professionals to join a reputable and expanding team, supporting customers across the Midlands region. This is a mobile role based in or around Birmingham, offering flexibility, responsibility, and ongoing professional development.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing construction plant and equipment for a wide range of clients. Your day-to-day duties will include:

- Providing on-site technical support for machinery within the Midlands region
- Conducting scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and technical faults efficiently
- Delivering high-quality workmanship in a timely manner
- Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Supervising apprentices when required, ensuring best practices are followed
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal teams.

We are seeking Field Service Engineer who can demonstrate:

- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Plant/Land-Based Mechanical Engineering
- OR 10+ years of relevant industry experience
- Experience servicing a wide range of heavy tracked plant machinery
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A valid CPCS card is desirable
