Sheridan Maine are delighted to be working with a thriving and forward-thinking organisation, currently seeking a qualified Management Accountant to join their friendly and collaborative finance team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of management accounts, provide meaningful financial insights to stakeholders, and play a key role in driving the business forward. You’ll be joining a supportive environment that values work-life balance, with flexible hybrid working (typically 1 day in the office, 4 from home).
What you’ll be doing
- Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met.
- Partner with department heads and budget holders to explain financial performance and support decision-making.
- Review and analyse P&L, providing clear commentary and insights.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with key stakeholders.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, journal processing, and variance analysis.
- Produce, develop, and present financial analysis and reports for both operational and strategic purposes.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors during year-end and audit cycles.
- Mentor and support junior finance team members, helping them develop their skills.
What we’re looking for
- Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Strong management accounts experience and a background in financial analysis.
- A collaborative communicator who can build strong relationships across the business.
- Excellent analytical skills and confidence in presenting financial data clearly.
- Advanced Excel skills
