We''re looking for a hands-on Financial Controller to join on a 3-6 month contract, providing key support to the Head of Finance and wider team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck into both high-level reporting and day-to-day finance tasks. What you''ll be doingLeading month-end close and preparing consolidated management accounts (PandL, balance sheet, cashflow, variance analysis)Preparing quarterly shareholder reporting and statutory accounts (IFRS/FRS101)Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and high-level accounting entries (M2M, ETS, Tax, Impairment)Supporting the financial model and running scenario analysisManaging internal and external audit processesPreparing corporation tax computations and liaising with tax advisersOverseeing the Belgian subsidiary''s financial managementLine managing and developing an Assistant AccountantDriving process improvements and strengthening controls What we''re looking forA qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with solid post-qualified experienceStrong technical knowledge of IFRS and consolidationsA background in audit would be highly advantageousExperience working in a group finance environment (energy sector exposure a plus, but not essential)Proactive, hands-on approach - comfortable tackling both technical accounting and BAU finance tasksStrong Excel skills (SAP knowledge is an advantage)Able to communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholdersImmediate ..... full job details .....
