As a Housing Options Officer, you will work closely with individuals and families in housing need, offering support, guidance, and practical solutions. You will deliver services in accordance with council policies, maintaining a high standard of customer care, and ensuring decisions are made in line with current legislation. You will be responsible for assessing applications through Devon Home Choice, making homelessness decisions, allocating temporary and permanent accommodation, and working closely with partner organisations such as Housing Associations and support agencies. A key part of your role will be to help prevent homelessness through early intervention and targeted advice, while also contributing to the ongoing development of housing services across the area.
