HRGO Recruitment are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased engineer to join a fast-paced production environment, playing a key role in maintaining high-performing machinery, improving reliability, and supporting continuous production operations.

The role:

• Delivering routine maintenance activities across production and processing machinery
• Identifying faults quickly and carrying out effective repairs to reduce production downtime
• Supporting the smooth operation of extrusion and converting processes
• Troubleshooting electrical control systems, drives, motors, sensors, and automation equipment
• Maintaining mechanical components including bearings, gearboxes, rollers, and pneumatic systems
• Assisting with the upkeep of material handling and conveying equipment throughout the plant
• Carrying out machine inspections, servicing, and component replacements as required
• Supporting equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
• Ensuring engineering work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with site procedures
• Recording maintenance activities accurately within the company maintenance system
• Contributing to ongoing improvements in plant efficiency, reliability, and overall performance

The candidate:

• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding and maintenance skills
• Time-served multi-skilled maintenance engineer
• Electrically biased (60/40 electrical/mechanical)
• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment
• Previous experience within extrusion or plastics would be advantageous
• Good understanding of electrical systems
