The school is dedicated to supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and provides a highly specialised and supportive setting that empowers students to thrive.

To support growing demand and ensure the highest level of care and education, the school is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience or interest in working with students with complex needs.

Responsibilities:

  Collaborate closely with class teachers to plan and deliver engaging and accessible learning activities.

  
  



• 
  

  Support the holistic development of pupils by following individualised education plans and therapeutic strategies.

  
  



• 
  

  Assist in the development and implementation of IEPs, EHCPs, Risk Assessments, Personal Care, and Therapy Care Plans.

  
  



• 
  

  Work in partnership with teachers, therapists, families, and external professionals to meet each child''s needs.

  
  



• 
  

  Build strong, therapeutic relationships with students, offering emotional and practical support tailored to their specific challenges.

  
  

Ideal Candidate:

• 
  

  Previous experience supporting children with SEN, especially PMLD, or a strong desire to develop in this area.

  
  



• 
  

  Understanding of or willingness to learn about specialist strategies for supporting pupils with complex needs.

  
  



• 
  

  Confident in managing challenging behaviours in a calm, respectful, and positive manner.

  
  



• 
  

  Committed to working either full-time or part-time on fixed days.
