As our Head of Activities, youll lead a small team and help shape vibrant days for our residents by designing and delivering creative, engaging and inclusive activities that support their physical, emotional and social wellbeing.Role:

13.50 per hourHours:

40 hours per week, with flexibility required for occasional evening or weekend eventsYoull be the heart of daily life at our home inspiring residents to stay active, connected and involved in the things they love. From craft afternoons and gardening to music therapy, reminiscence sessions and exciting trips out, youll make sure theres always something to look forward to.What youll be doing:

Leading, mentoring and supporting the activities team to deliver a varied weekly programmePlanning and running meaningful activities that are tailored to residents interests and abilitiesOrganising outings and inviting entertainers, speakers and community visitors into the homeWorking with the Home Manager to manage an annual budget and evaluate activity successCollaborating with care teams to ensure activity plans are aligned with residents care needsRecording participation and outcomes in residents care plans and activity logsBuilding warm, trusting relationships with residents and their familiesHolding regular meetings with residents to gather feedback and plan future eventsSupporting the wider team with seasonal events, staff activities and wellbeing initiativesConducting regular supervisions and appraisals with your teamWhat youll bring:Experience working with older people in a care or wellbeing settingGreat leadership skills and the confidence to plan, delegate and inspireA creative and energetic approach with plenty of ideas to shareThe ability to adapt activities to different interests, abilities and personalitiesExcellent communication and people skills warm, inclusive and encouragingA flexible, can-do attitude and a real passion for making peoples days brighterWhy join Canford Healthcare?Were a family-run care provider whose values of
