Academics, Canterbury are seeking enthusiastic and committed Graduate Mathematics School Cover Supervisors to provide essential support across various schools in East Kent. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic educational environment and inspire students in their mathematical studies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise classes in the absence of the regular mathematics teacher, ensuring that students stay on task and engaged.
• Deliver pre-prepared lessons and assist students in their understanding of mathematical concepts.
• Foster a positive learning atmosphere that encourages student participation and respect.
• Monitor student behaviour and report any concerns to school staff.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to support the overall learning objectives of the school.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A recent degree in Mathematics or a related field.
• Strong understanding of GCSE mathematics and the ability to communicate concepts effectively.
• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is beneficial but not essential.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• A proactive approach with the ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively.
• A commitment to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare.
