C++ Software Engineer, Cambridge (on-site) An established Cambridge engineering company designing advanced imaging and sensor systems is looking for a C++ Software Engineer to join its in-house development team. Their technology is used by defence, security and industrial customers internationally, and is built to perform reliably in demanding real-world environments. You''ll take real ownership across the full software lifecycle, from architecture and design through to build, profiling, optimisation and production support, writing performant, maintainable modern C++ on Windows. What they''re after: 3+ years'' commercial C++ experienceStrong grasp of OOP, design patterns and modern C++ standardsConfident with the STL, memory management and concurrency (threading, mutexes)Comfortable with CMake/Make, Visual Studio, and Git or SubversionWindows development background Nice to have: real-time systems, networking or low-level programming, Python or C#, hardware/driver interfacing, and exposure to machine learning on sensor data.
