In this role, you’ll be the expert on how we use language and media - including text, photography, illustration and video - to shape experiences, build trust and guide people confidently through their healthcare journey.This isn''t just about writing copy; it''s about defining the content strategy for key product areas. As a senior member of the team, you will champion the role of content design and help embed a content-first mindset across the organisation. You’ll also help scale our content design practice, support new tools and workflows, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.What you''ll doWrite, test and improve clear, accessible and purposeful content that supports user needs, drives conversion and retentionUse insights from research, data and user behaviour to inform content design decisions and hypothesesContribute to user journeys, page structure, and interaction flows - ensuring content is embedded throughout the design processAdapt and localise content for different international markets, making sure it remains relevant, inclusive and compliant with local regulationsEnsure all content meets accessibility standards and aligns with our voice and toneCreate and maintain content models, structures and terminology to support a cohesive experience across our product ecosystemDevelop and manage scalable content processes, including templates, workflows and guidelinesSupport the implementation of our new Sanity content management system, and structure content for reusability and localisationAudit content for consistency and quality, identify content gaps or debt, and lead efforts to improve and maintain governanceCollaborate with product managers, designers, researchers, engineers, legal, medical, compliance, and our brand team to make sure content is accurate, effective, and consistent across touchpointsPlan and support research activities like user interviews, comprehension testing and competitor analysesHelp embed content design into the wider ways of working at HeliosX, influencing how teams think about language, structure, and user experienceWho you are:5+ years’ experience in end-to-end content design, ideally in healthcare or a related fieldA strong portfolio that showcases a range of experience - from high-level content strategy to impactful UX writingA proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams in agile environmentsHave a working knowledge of WCAG and experience creating accessible content that adheres to NHS or GOV.UK stylesSkilled in product discovery, including conducting user research, analysing customer needs and turning insights into actionable contentExperience with rapid prototyping and agile methodologies.Hands-on experience working with Figma, Miro, or similar toolsBonus if you are:Familiar with content operations, systems thinking and design system documentationExperienced with fast-paced start-ups, and working in regulated industries like health tech, fintech or governmentCompetent in using design and collaboration tools like Figma, Miro and JiraLife at HeliosXAt HeliosX, we want to improve healthcare for everyone, and to do this we need a team of brilliant people who share that ambition.
