In addition, the post holder will provide clinical leadership and be actively involved in service improvement activities.The Consultant Psychiatrist will be expected to work effectively with colleagues from other professional disciplines and deliver services consistent with the Trust policy for the Care Programme Approach. MB BS or equivalent recognised medical qualificationFull medical registration with a license to practiceApproval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act(or within 6 to 12 months of the time of interview/assessment) or equivalentRelevant higher degree, e.g. MD, PhD, MSc or other additional clinical qualificationsMRCPsych or equivalentManagement qualification or evidence of an interest in developing leadership skills.Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six monthsIn good standing with GMC concerning warnings and conditions on practiceApproved clinician status OR able to achieve within three months of appointmentClinical Skills, Knowledge and Experience
